Swindon Club members put on a display at Roots Bonsai Show near Newbury and it was a great display with bonsai trees of all sizes from Mame through to Chuhin and a mix of species creating a good diversity for everyone to see and enjoy. Thank you to all those who helped put on the display and prepared trees for the display.
This year was another great bonsai show hosted by Newbury & District Bonsai Society at Roots Garden Centre, Hermitage. It was a well attended show from 10am until 4pm with a range of visiting clubs and societies, plus traders and their was space for workshops and demonstrations.
TWO gardens, one fruit/vegetables/flowers and one full of quality Bonsai – ALL in Aid of Charity.
In addition to the good selection of traders at the Bonsai Traders Event at Capel Manor, there were also four very good exhibitions put on by The Bonsai Group Enfield, Splinter Group, Middlesex Bonsai and British Suiseki.

This years Bonsai Traders event at Capel Manor was successful with a good range of traders selling a wide variety of bonsai trees and everything bonsai. It was a great opportunity to buy supplies, pots and add to your collection of bonsai.
The summer fete at Milton Lilbourne was great fun this year and club members put on a lovely bonsai display for everyone to enjoy. An added attraction this year were camels in amongst the vintage cars, cake stands and so much more.
Following John’s ‘Gold’ medal successes at various shows, we were lucky to have him at the club for a day workshop on Sat 20th June 2015. Here are a few photos from the day. The Wiltshire branch of the British Cactus & Succulent Society held it’s Annual show at the Melksham Assembly Hall today from 11am to 3.30pm. It was a great show and some of Swindon Bonsai club members who also enjoy the hobby of Cacti and Succulents entered into the show and did well.
Gold at Gardeners World Live at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham for John Trott of Mendip Bonsai with a stunning and very colourful display that looked magnificent.
