Trees are a passion for so many people across the world and here are some inspirational trees that I have seen on my travels that guide the types of bonsai trees I want to design or already have in my collection.
This was the first time I had come across Daibokai who are a family run business from Germany. They were one of the many traders who attended the open weekend at Lodder Bonsai bv in the Netherlands and some of their scrolls were inspired as well as fun too and the art work was excellent.

There were around 11 traders at the Shohin UK II Exhibition 2015 show this year offering for sale a wide range of bonsai trees, pots and stands.

If you are looking to buy online bonsai then visit Bonsai plaza as a one stop shop for all things bonsai. They were recently one of the invited traders at the Lodder Bonsai Open Weekend and they had some beautiful porcelain pots for sale.
Eye catching pots are one of the great things that come from Shohin shows and this years Shohin UK II Exhibition had them in abundance. Here are a few of the ones that caught my eye from the displays and there were so many more on the potters trading stands it was hard not to buy a few too to add to the collection.
The Lodder Bonsai Open Weekend was fantastic with a packed program for 2015 including a Bonsai exhibition provided by Shoryukai.

The range of broadleaved trees at the Shohin UK II Exhibition 2015 was broad and diverse and the quality of the trees was excellent. Species ranging from Potentilla, through to Berbers, Gardenia, Zelkova, Chinese Elm, Privet and Quince to name a few.
