Tonight we had a brilliant talk on pests and diseases by Ray Broughton, who is a horticultural scientist and lecturer with over 30 years experience. It was a very informative evening and here are a few notes from his talk which covered so many areas and although not specifically bonsai there were some very useful tips and helpful ideas for improving the health of your bonsai trees.

In addition to seeing some stunning Shohin and Mame bonsai at the Spirit of Shohin Show at RHS Wisley there were also some creative and colourful accents, amazing bronzes, scrolls and beautiful pots.
If you wanted an opportunity to buy a bonsai or anything bonsai related then this was an ideal place to go to find everything you ever need for bonsai at this weekends Spirit of Shohin Show 2016. It was held at the RHS Gardens at Wisley, Surrey which was a superb venue and the traders area was extensive.
This was an excellent collective set of displays of Mame, one of the largest seen in the UK to date, and wonderful to see such extraordinary extra-miniature trees on an impressive tiny scale.
The Shohin displays were excellent, with a harmony and balance, consideration for the aesthetic and high quality trees and display stands. This was a recipe for beautiful and delivered in full at this weekend Spirit of Shohin 2016 held at the RHS gardens at Wisley, Surrey.
What a fabulous spring show of Shohin and Mame bonsai held at a stunning venue too at the RHS Gardens of Wisley. Congratulations to everyone who was part of the show especially Andy Jordan, the exhibitors and traders.
